For the LC to Israel, the mandatory equipment below applies per person (unless otherwise specified). No more and no less.

We travel with 1 piece of hand luggage plus 1 piece of hold luggage per couple! Your daypack may only weigh 10 kg, excluding 3 liters of water. The large backpack may weigh 15 kilos, the 3 liters of water will be added later. At Schiphol, the weight is slightly supplemented with a food package. You don't need other stuff you brought with you and make it unnecessarily heavier.

TRANSPORT (per couple)

  • Good daypack, approx. 25 liter (Max dimensions. 56cm x 45cm x 25cm)
  • Good daypack, max. 60 liters
  • Waterproof backpack cover

PAPERS (packed separately waterproof)

  • Passport (Paspoort required in Israël! Please note that it is still valid for 6 months AFTER departure from Israel. And also remember that you are not allowed to have a stamp in your passport from countries conflicting with Israël.) 
  • Tickets/travel details
  • Drivers license
  • Insurance policy
  • ICE (In Case of Emergency, home phone number)

ACCOMMODATION

  • Fleece blanket (for extra warmth)

OTHER STUFF

  • Head lamp and if possibly a flashlight
  • Bible (always carry with you)
  • Toiletries as desired (medications/toilet tissues)
  • (Bath) towel
  • Bottle of sunscreen
  • 10x Paracetamol (or other light painkillers)
  • Anti-tick agent, tick remover (possibly anti-mosquito)

FOOTWEAR

  • Sturdy walking boots
  • 2-3 pairs of (walking) socks
  • Slippers/sandals

CLOTHING (make sure you have several thin layers!)

  • Outdoor-trousers (tip: detachable)
  • Shorts
  • Swimming trunks/bathing suit
  • Long sleeve shirt
  • T-Shirt
  • Sweater/fleecevest
  • Jacket for when it is cold in the evening
  • Underwear (thermo, for the night)

  • Headgear (hat, cap, oid)
